WELCOME TO GEORGIA ALLSTARS  

Pride of the South! Thank you for choosing Georgia All-Star Cheerleading for your 2011-2012 seasons!  We are so excited about our new teams for this coming season.  We would like to take this opportunity to explain a few details about our selection process.  We chose teams this season by picking the kids that had every skill allowed at the top of the level.  For example, every Level 5 had to throw a full or better in both standing and running.  Every level 4 had to have a Triple jump to back, and a running and standing layout, and so on and so forth.  We are only posting kids by level because we are reserving the right to combine the kids in any fashion to make our teams as competitive as possible.  Your child very likely was placed on a level below or the same level he/she cheered last year.  We are hoping that you understand that we are only trying to make our teams as competitive as possible.  This season, we are introducing a new program at Georgia called the “Challenge” program.  This program allows kids to challenge their level up until August of this season.  Should your child want to “challenge” their level, he or she will need to fill out a Level Challenge form in the office, and make an appointment to tryout for a higher level.  We feel like this will motivate the kids to better their skills over the summer.  We have pushed choreography back until August for this very reason.  We will be practicing all levels as a unit for the first few weeks so that we can better assemble stunt groups for all of our teams.  We did not want to rush this process, as it is very important that we have a mixture of flyers, bases, and backs on all teams.  The gym has recently undergone a $30,000 facility renovation, adding a tumble-track, a new pit, as well as an 80 foot tumbling strip.  We feel that with our new tumbling staff, and our new training equipment, Georgia is destined for a very amazing year ahead!  In addition, unlike last year, we have many seasoned Georgia trained athletes filling our rosters.  This will be apparent when we start practices next week.  Thank you all for trusting Georgia All-Stars with your cheerleading needs!  We look forward to working with all of you, and welcome you to our purple family!   Jamie Parrish
