Tumbling Classes

Level 1 Tumbling -

This class is for athletes that are new or fairly new to tumbling and looking for strong fundamental training.  

Examples of skills this class will work on are:  handstand, cartwheel, round-off, backbend kick-over, front walk-over, back walk-over, standing back handspring, and round-off back handspring.

Level 2 Tumbling -

This class is for athletes that have shown strong fundamental skills and are working toward successful execution of the back handspring.

Examples of skills this class will work on are: back handspring, back-walkover back handspring, round-off back handspring series, front walk-over to round off back handspring.

Level 3 Tumbling

This class is for athletes that have shown strong level 2 tumbling skills.  Athletes in this class must have previously shown consistent performance of standing handspring and round-off handsprings, or have the recommendation of the staff.

Examples of skills this class will work on are: standing series of handsprings, jump to handspring combinations, round-off handspring tuck, punch front and other combinations skills appropriate to this level.

Level 4 Tumbling

This class is for athletes that have shown strong level 3 tumbling skills.  Athletes in this class must have previously shown consistent performance of round-off handspring tuck and standing series of handsprings.

Examples of skills this class will work on are: standing tuck, standing handspring tuck, jump to tuck combinations, round-off handspring layout, layout step-out, beginning full drills, punch front, whips, and other combinations appropriate to this level. 

Level 5 Tumbling

This is an elite level class and all athletes in this class must consistently show a round-off handspring full or better.

Examples of skills this class will work on are: front through, whip through, full through, arabian through, double fulls, standing full, series to full.
